Small plane crashes in front yard of home, injuring pilot


PHILADELPHIA (AP) – A small aircraft has crashed within the entrance yard of a suburban Philadelphia residence, leaving the pilot injured.

Police say the crash occurred round 5 p.m. Sunday in Montgomery County’s Whitpain Township a few mile from Wings Area airport. Witnesses and police inform WCAU-TV the aircraft misplaced altitude shortly after takeoff and hit a number of timber earlier than breaking up within the entrance garden of a house. Nobody on the residence was harm.

A neighbor says he and one other man discovered the pilot with a seat belt round his neck. One other individual was capable of minimize the belt off with scissors.

Police say the pilot’s accidents do not look like life-threatening.

The Nationwide Transportation Security Board is predicted to reach Monday to research.
