Man mistakenly leads officers right to his drug paraphernalia


A Middletown man is in jail after police stated he mistakenly allowed officers in and by accident confirmed them his drug paraphernalia.

Officers stated they went to the 600 block of Crawford Road this week to execute an arrest warrant for Charles Hogg for failure to pay metropolis revenue tax.

Once they arrived, they stated they knocked on the door, which was ajar, and Hogg yelled for them to “come on in.”

It wasn’t till police made their approach up the steps, that Hogg realized who they have been.

In his room, police stated they noticed a number of hypodermic needles, a spoon crammed with fluid and damp cotton, which Hogg admitted have been all his.

Then, when officers notified him of the warrant, Hogg requested police to retrieve a related receipt from his drawer.

Once they seemed inside, they discovered the paperwork together with extra drug paraphernalia, together with a pipe for smoking crystal meth.

Police stated when Hogg realized what was occurring, he lowered his head.

Hogg was booked within the Middletown Metropolis Jail on a number of expenses together with drug abuse devices and drug paraphernalia.

All the contraband was destroyed, police stated.
