DETROIT (WXYZ) – Detroit police are looking for a person who allegedly shot and killed his roommate on Tuesday.
“I actually hope and pray that he turns himself in,” stated Pastor Sharon Thorpe, whose 24-yr-previous grandson, Tony Thorpe, was allegedly shot and killed by his roommate. “You have got nowhere to run.”
On Wednesday afternoon, Detroit Police launched a photograph of Thorpe’s roommate, Markeil Japree Welch, 24.
After the capturing, Welch fled the home and Detroit Police have been looking for him.
Police say Thorpe confronted Welch after discovering that Welch was persevering with to steal from him.
Thorpe and his brother let Welch transfer in about two years in the past in hopes of serving to him get again on his ft.
“Sadly, all of them trusted him,” stated Antiwan Wiley, Thorpe’s father. “They have been all the time making an attempt to assist him out.”
Welch is described as being 5 ft six inches tall and weighing one hundred fifty – one hundred sixty kilos.
Detroit Police say he’s to be thought-about armed and harmful.
Anybody who sees him is urged to name 911.
