A nationwide pet retailer chain says it’s investigating the demise of a canine that was attacked within the grooming space of certainly one of its Pennsylvania shops.
Betty Miller of Scranton tells WNEP-TV that she dropped off her canine, a 12-yr-previous Bichon named Brewster, at a PetSmart in Dickson Metropolis to get groomed. A short while later, she says a vet referred to as to let her know that Brewster had been killed in an assault by one other canine.
Miller says the attacker was a pit bull. She says she doesn’t perceive how the shop allowed the canine to return close to her pet. She says Brewster was “bait” for the opposite canine.
PetSmart says it’s “really saddened” by the incident and is investigating whether or not there have been any violations of its insurance policies and procedures.
