BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) – Virtually $1 million in federal grant cash goes to assist enterprise packages in Birmingham and Cellular.
The Division of Commerce introduced grants to offer seed cash for greater than forty entrepreneurial organizations in 28 states.
The College of Alabama at Birmingham will get about $500,000 for a deliberate enterprise incubator that may assist school, college students and employees launch corporations associated to regional well being.
Additionally in Birmingham, Innovation Depot will get about $171,000 for creation of a fund that may assist new companies improve their operations.
The Cellular Space Chamber of Commerce Basis is receiving a grant of $300,000 to assist a Gulf Coast program for entrepreneurs.
The federal government says grant recipients have been chosen from greater than 200 candidates.
