Cops and coats: Sheriff's Dept. helps keep community warm


As temperatures drop, Greenville County deputies are working to ensure members of the group will keep heat through the Christmas season and past. As an initiative to construct relationships between cops and locals, that is the third yr of the annual Coats and Cops drive.

“It is so crucial as regulation enforcement officers that we’re capable of give again to the group, particularly the youth,” stated Sergeant Ryan Flood. “To allow them to see us in a constructive mild and study to belief us as regulation enforcement officers.”

Greater than 600 donated coats have been packed up and delivered to the Greenville County Faculty District. Officers may also carry jackets of their automobiles handy out to people and households in want.
