Chester police officer accused of inappropriately touching woman at restaurant fired

An officer with the Chester Police Division in South Carolina who was arrested after he was accused of inappropriately touching a lady at an area restaurant has been fired, officers stated Thursday. 

In accordance with Chester police, James “Jimmy” Johnson, forty five, was arrested on Saturday and charged with third-diploma assault and battery. 

Based on the report from the Union Police Division, the sufferer, who’s the spouse of a deputy, was consuming with household at El Poblano on North Duncan Bypass when Johnson got here and sat at their desk.

The report states that Johnson was “extremely intoxicated” after attending karaoke outdoors the restaurant. The sufferer stated Johnson reportedly started touching and rubbing her leg, ultimately shifting to her internal thigh. The sufferer stated she then allegedly grabbed a butter knife and “began stabbing [Johnson’s] hand away.”

Johnson, in line with the report, lastly left the desk and went again outdoors. The sufferer then referred to as her husband who, together with one other deputy, went to the restaurant.

Johnson, who has been with the Chester Police Division since July 2017, was arrested following the incident.
