Albuquerque high school students eyeing 'civil rights tour'

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – A gaggle of Albuquerque highschool college students is making an attempt to boost cash to go to websites linked to the Civil Rights Motion within the American South.

Black Scholar Union director Joycelyn Jackson informed The Related Press that forty college students are working to boost round $28,000 to go to necessary landmarks in Atlanta, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Birmingham, Alabama subsequent summer time.

Jackson says the scholars need to see for themselves the place civil rights leaders work to finish racial segregation.

The Black Scholar Unions in Albuquerque Public Faculties are made up of African American, Latino, white and Native American college students learning the civil rights motion.
